Harassment
Covers a wide range of behaviors of offensive nature. It is commonly understood as behaviour that demeans, humiliates and intimidates a person and it is characteristically identified by it's likelihood in terms of social and moral reasonableness. In the legal sense these are behaviors that appear to be disturbing, upsetting or threatening. "When these behaviors become repetitive it is defined as bullying.
The types of harassment are as follows:
Physical harassment
Physical harassment refers to a type of harassment that is often related to violence like:physical attacks and threats ,in extreme cases physical harassment is also classified as sexual assault. Physical harassment is one of the most common types of harassment at home,work and community.
Personal harassment
Personal harassment includes behavior is defined as an offensive comment or actions that create an abusive or intimidating work environment in the mind of a reasonable person.
Discriminatory harassment
It is based on the discrimination and stigmatization of one's race, gender, sex, health and socio-economic statues.
Psychological harassment
Psychological harassment is a formof vexatious behavior that invloves repeated hostile and unwanted word's behaviour or actions that are painful, hurtful,annoying,humiliating or insulting.
Sexual harassment
Is any sexual behaviour that makes someone feel upset, scared, offended or humiliated or is meant to make them feel that way. Sexual harassment is a type of sexual violence ( the phrase we use to describe any sexual activity or act that happen without consent).
